Sturge-Weber Syndrome Center: Eric Kossoff, MD
Dr. Kossoff is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics and a
member of The Johns Hopkins Epilepsy Center, as well as the Division of
Pediatric Neurology. He is the associate director of the pediatric
neurology training program. His clinical practice specializes in the
diagnosis and treatment of childhood seizures and epilepsy, most notably
nonpharmacologic treatment of epilepsy (diets, surgery, and electrical
stimulation). He also sees other disorders of child neurology,
including migraines. Dr. Kossoff's clinical and research interests
include the ketogenic and Atkins diets, infantile spasms,
hemispherectomy, neuro-infectious diseases (Lyme, Neurocysticercosis,
encephalitis), chronic daily headache, and Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS).
