Sturge-Weber Syndrome Center: Emily Germain-Lee, MD
Dr. Emily Germain-Lee is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics within the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Harvard University and her M.D. degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her internship and residency in Pediatrics as well as her fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology were also completed at Johns Hopkins. She is Board Certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Germain-Lee is Director of the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Bone Center and also runs a General Endocrine Clinic. She is Vice President and on the Board of Directors of the Human Growth Foundation, and she is the Principal Endocrinologist for the Greenberg Center for Skeletal Dysplasias at Johns Hopkins. Her research interests include studying the genetics of endocrine disorders through both laboratory and clinical research. She has recently spearheaded efforts to characterize the growth hormone deficiency, hypothyroidism, and other hormonal abnormalities that can occur with Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS).
